What is an Onsite Fire Risk Assessment?
An Onsite Fire Risk Assessment is a comprehensive and independent evaluation of your premises designed to ensure that your business meets the fire safety standards required by UK law. This includes a thorough inspection of your fire safety measures, systems, and processes to identify any risks or areas where compliance may be lacking.
The aim of our on-site fire safety risk assessment is to ensure that your workplace is prepared to handle emergencies that never come. With actionable insights into how your organisation can mitigate the risks we identify, this health and safety measure is invaluable for all UK organisations.
Who is Responsible for Completing a Fire Risk Assessment?
In the UK, it is the legal responsibility of the employer, building owner, or occupier of a premises to ensure a fire risk assessment is carried out. This person is known as the Responsible Person under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
The Responsible Person must ensure that there is a fire risk assessment regularly conducted, kept up-to-date and that any recommendations from the assessment are implemented to reduce fire risks. While the Responsible Person can conduct the assessment themselves, it is strongly advised to have it completed by a trained and competent professional to ensure all fire safety regulations are fully met and no risks are overlooked.
By entrusting this task to our qualified consultants, you can be confident that your business will remain compliant with UK fire safety laws and that you’re taking all the necessary steps to protect your staff, visitors, and property.

During the fire risk assessment, a trained and qualified consultant will visit your premises to conduct an in-depth review. This will cover areas such as:
- Inspection of all fire safety equipment and systems to ensure they meet maintenance requirements.
- Verification that staff have received fire safety training in line with current regulations.
- A detailed visual assessment of your fire alarm system to check that it is adequate for the risks present on-site.
- Ensuring emergency lighting and fire doors are correctly placed and in full working order.
